Why work with a travel advisor when I can book it myself online?

A travel agent brings expertise and personalization to your trip. We have access to a wide range of options, can provide insider knowledge, and can handle unexpected issues that may arise during your travels. For example, Costco will typically always be the lowest price but their customer service for travel is limited to none. 

Does it cost money to work with a travel agent?

This can vary from agent to agent. I do charge a planning fee that I'm happy to discuss in depth during a consultation call. 

Can I save money by using a travel agent?

Sometimes! We can offer packages from our suppliers that can help save money. There’s also instances where we can provide on board credit or additional amenities for no charge.

What information is helpful to know before reaching out to a travel advisor?

It is helpful to know destination, travel dates, budget, travel style, and group details. It’s okay if you’re not sure about everything- we can discuss further in a consultation.

Do you provide assistance while I'm in destination?

Yes! If you encounter any hiccups on your trip, you can contact me immediately. I will also provide emergency numbers during our pre-travel call in case I can't be reached. 

Do you work with clients outside of the US?

Due to certain laws and policies, I’m unable to sell to those outside of the USA. Although I reside in Maryland, I serve clients virtually nationwide.

How do I pay for my trip?

I will collect your credit card information securely through the client portal. All payments are made directly to the supplier. Please note, due to the nature of travel, all proposal prices are subject to change until a deposit has been made.

Do I have to buy travel insurance?

I do suggest travel insurance to all my clients, but I do not require it. I’m happy to provide some options for you during the proposal process. 

When can I contact you?

If an emergency arrives, especially in destination, please contact me as soon as possible. For all other administrative tasks, clients can expect to hear from me during business hours.

Will you provide a physical itinerary for my trip?

All my clients have exclusive access to an app that will have their itinerary displayed. This itinerary can be viewed even if you’re “Offline.” If a paper copy is preferred, I’m also happy to send that out.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! Ask me for more details as these plans can differ from supplier/brand.

What type of travel can you book?

I can really book anything. I will say, that I'm not a Disney expert, so I usually refer out if a client is interested in a Disney destination. 

I can also book private travel such as villas, yachts, planes, cars, etc. 

Will you book my flights for me?

Yes, I can, but I often suggest for clients to book direct. I will provide recommendations on flights that work best for your itinerary. The reason I suggest booking direct is that the airline will provide better customer service if there's a hiccup rather than if the flight was booked third party. 

How is a custom itinerary different from a group tour or pre-packaged vacation?

Group tours follow a set schedule and plan, while a custom itinerary is created from scratch to reflect your unique preferences, timeline, and travel goals.
